STUDENT LEADERS and advisers of various student clubs and organizations at Alabel National Science High School gathered their respective members for the synchronized election of officers.

Student organizations hold various activities throughout the year and the most common problem that have been observed is the overlapping of schedules.

Co-Curricular Council Coordinator Rolando Nerpiol, Jr. said that there is a need for the school to come up with a calendar of student activities in addition to the activities mandated by the Department of Education.

“We are asking the organizations come up with their plans and schedule of events and consolidate them into a calendar that everyone can access to avoid conflicting schedules,” Nerpiol said.

Nerpiol also explained that because of the lack of a unified calendar of activities, some teachers and students are not aware that one organization is holding an event on a particular date. As a result, some teachers and students are not able to take part or that they also hold their own events alongside another event.

The Co-Curricular Council will also see to it that an organizations can only hold events that are aligned with the thrusts written in their constitution and by-laws.

Nerpiol reminds the leaders and advisers of each organization to submit the following requirements to the Co-Curricular Council:

  • Constitution and By-Laws
  • List of Officers
  • Action Plan / Schedule of Activities – – Please click & download — >> Strategic Planning Matrix

“We are looking forward to a smooth conduct of student activities this year,” Nerpiol said.
